Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and Unblockr VPN ("Unblockr", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the Unblockr VPN application and related services (together, the "App" and "Services").

By accepting, downloading, accessing, or using the App, you confirm acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Entire agreement

These Terms represent the single entire agreement for the App and supersede any prior contracts. Unblockr reserves the right to revise or amend the Terms at any time without notice. Revised versions become effective immediately upon posting, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

2. Modification and termination

Unblockr reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or terminate the App or your access to it at any time without notice. Your use terminates immediately if you fail to comply with any Term. Upon termination, all licenses granted hereunder immediately end.

3. Using this App

The App provides a virtual private network (VPN) service that routes your device's traffic through encrypted tunnels to exit servers in supported regions, helping you preserve privacy and access region-restricted content. The operation of the App may not be uninterrupted or error-free, and your reliance on any privacy or security feature is at your own risk.

All warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

You may uninstall the App at any time using your device's standard application-removal procedure. Updates may be provided automatically and are considered part of the App. Failure to install updates may terminate or adversely affect App performance.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

The App is offered on a subscription basis. Pricing and billing periods are presented at the point of purchase.

• Web purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the "Manage subscription" page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
• iOS in-app purchases. Payments and subscription management are processed by Apple. Cancellations and refunds follow Apple's subscription management and refund policies.
• Android in-app purchases. Payments and subscription management are processed by Google Play. Cancellations and refunds follow Google's subscription and refund policies.
• Free trials. Where offered, free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before the trial ends.

5. License grant

Unblockr grants you a personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on devices that you own or control. Unauthorized access or use is strictly prohibited and may violate copyright, trademark, privacy, and communications laws.

6. Limitations

You may not: (a) use the App outside its intended purpose; (b) use it in ways that breach these Terms or applicable law; (c) reproduce, license, or distribute it; (d) use data-mining methods against the App or our infrastructure; (e) edit, modify, or alter it; (f) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it; (g) circumvent technical limitations; (h) create competing products based on it; (i) violate the security of any network; (j) gain unauthorized access to any account; (k) interfere with other users' access; (l) violate third-party policies; (m) combine it with other software in a way that imposes obligations on us; (n) create derivative works; or (o) use it for illegal, harmful, or offensive purposes.

7. User representations and warranties

You represent and warrant that you: are at least 18 years old; are authorized to use the App; will use the App lawfully; assume full liability for installation and use; will comply with all applicable laws and these Terms. If you are acting on behalf of an entity, you warrant that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf and that the entity agrees to indemnify Unblockr.

You undertake not to: reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, or extract the App; use it outside contemplated purposes; transfer, rent, or sublicense it; or defeat any installation, use, or control mechanism.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App or Services to:

• Engage in any illegal activity, or any activity that violates the laws of your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction in which our exit nodes operate;
• Send spam, unsolicited bulk communications, or operate any kind of malicious automation;
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
• Conduct denial-of-service attacks or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system;
• Engage in fraud, phishing, or impersonation;
• Distribute or access child sexual abuse material;
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others;
• Resell or redistribute access to the Services without our express written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, are engaged in any of the above activities, without refund.

9. Third-party content, products, or services

The App may contain third-party content or links to external services, including streaming services that you may access while connected to the VPN. Unblockr does not control, endorse, or warrant such external content and is not responsible for any losses arising from your interactions with third parties. You waive any claim against Unblockr arising from third-party dealings, and you should review applicable third-party terms.

10. Intellectual property and ownership

Unblockr retains exclusive ownership of the App and all associated intellectual property rights, including but not limited to source code, designs, trademarks, logos, and content. Proprietary materials may not be copied, reproduced, downloaded, posted, or transmitted except for personal, non-commercial use of the App as permitted by these Terms.

11. Warranties and liability

The App and the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Unblockr does not warrant that the App will be updated, accurate, or always available. All warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement are disclaimed. You accept responsibility for your own device security, including virus protection.

Your sole remedy for any dissatisfaction with the App is to cease use and uninstall.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unblockr and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any damages, including direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, loss of use, profits, or data, whether contractual, tortious (including negligence), or otherwise, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Where applicable jurisdiction prohibits such exclusions, Unblockr's maximum aggregate liability is limited to the lower of: (i) the amounts paid by you in the three months preceding the claim, or (ii) the minimum liability allowed by applicable law. No action arising from these Terms or your use of the App may be brought more than six months after the cause of action arose.

You agree to indemnify and hold Unblockr harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, information you provide, your violation of these Terms, or your conduct.

12. Law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed solely by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute is vested in the competent courts of Israel. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

13. Reporting violations

You must report any known violations of these Terms or unauthorized use of the App, and provide reasonable assistance in remedying any violation, by contacting us at the address below.

14. Notices

All notices to Unblockr must be submitted in English to [email protected]. Notices sent elsewhere will not be answered. Translated materials require notarized authorization. Unblockr reserves the right to demand additional information and evidence supporting any notice.

15. Waiver and severability

Failure to enforce strict performance of any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of any future right or remedy. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

16. Survival

Upon termination, your license to the App automatically expires and further use is prohibited. The "Limitations", "Warranties and liability", and "Indemnification" provisions survive termination, as do any provisions that by their nature are intended to continue.

17. Assignment

You may not assign these Terms or any rights hereunder without our prior written consent. Unblockr may assign at its sole discretion. These Terms inure to the benefit of Unblockr's parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates.
