Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 27, 2026

Unblockr VPN ("us", "we", or "our") is the operator of the Unblockr VPN service (the "App" and "Services").

We are committed to protecting your Personal Information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about our practices, please contact us at [email protected].

This Privacy Policy applies to all information and data collected through the App. It is an integral part of our Terms of Use (the "TOU" and together with this Privacy Policy, the "Terms").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the Terms (including this Privacy Policy). If you do not agree, your choice is not to use the App and to remove it from your device.

1. What information do we collect?

While using the App, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your email address and payment information ("Personal Information"). The Personal Information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us, the choices you make, and the products and features you use.

We also collect User Data, which is non-identifiable data automatically generated by use of the App ("User Data"). Where Personal Information may be treated as User Data in a given jurisdiction, it shall be deemed as such.

You have no legal obligation to provide us with any information; however, some or all of the App features may not be available if certain information is not provided.

Personal information you disclose to us

In short: We collect personal information that you provide to us, such as email address, security codes, and payment information.

Information automatically collected

In short: Some information — such as IP address and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you use the App.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the App. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, approximate location derived from IP, information about how and when you use the App, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for our internal analytics and reporting.

Information collected through our App

If you use our App, we may also collect:

What we do not log. Unblockr VPN does not log the contents of your traffic, the websites you visit, your DNS queries, or your originating IP address against the destinations you connect to. We are a no-traffic-log service.

2. How do we use your information?

In short: We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfilment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.

IP address. Your IP address is automatically logged when you interact with our backend (account, payment, or session-control endpoints). We use IP addresses for capacity planning, abuse prevention, diagnosing server problems, and administering the App. Outside of these operational logs, we do not associate your originating IP with your traffic activity through the VPN.

3. Will your information be shared with anyone?

In short: We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with the Services, to protect your rights, or to fulfil business obligations.

We may process or share data based on the following legal bases: consent; legitimate interests; performance of a contract; legal obligations; and vital interests.

More specifically, we may share information in the following situations:

4. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?

In short: We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and secure the Services. We do not currently use cookies for cross-site advertising.

We use only the cookies and storage strictly required to operate the App — for example, to keep you signed in and to maintain a secure session.

5. How long do we keep your information?

In short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep Personal Information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out herein, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this policy will require us to keep your Personal Information for longer than one year after you stopped using the App.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your Personal Information, we will either delete or anonymise it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because it is stored in backup archives), we will securely store it and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

6. How do we keep your information safe?

In short: We aim to protect your information through a system of organisational and technical security measures.

We have implemented what we deem to be appropriate technical and organisational security measures designed to protect any Personal Information we process. However, please remember that no internet transmission is 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Information, transmission of Personal Information to and from our App is at your own risk. If you feel that the security of your Personal Information may have been compromised, please immediately notify us at the email address provided below.

7. Cross-border transfer

Your Personal Information and User Data may be stored and processed in any country where we or our service providers operate facilities, and by using the App you consent to such transfer. In some cases this may include countries outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA").

When we transfer Personal Information outside of the EEA, we put in place appropriate safeguards, such as European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure that your data remains protected and your rights are preserved.

8. Third-party sites

The App may link to third-party content, software, services, or products (for example, partner streaming services, payment-processor pages, or our service providers' web properties). This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy or other practices of any third parties. The inclusion of a link does not imply our endorsement of the linked site.

9. Do we collect information from minors?

In short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

By using the App, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to that minor's use of the App. If we learn that Personal Information from users under 13 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under 13, please contact us.

10. What are your privacy rights?

In some jurisdictions, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your Personal Information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure of your Personal Information, (iii) to restrict or object to processing, and (iv) data portability. To make such a request, please use the contact details below.

If we are relying on your consent to process your Personal Information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

If you reside in the European Economic Area and you believe we are unlawfully processing your Personal Information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. You can find their contact details here: edpb.europa.eu.

11. Do California residents have specific privacy rights?

In short: Yes, if you are a resident of California you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes, and the names and addresses of all third parties with whom we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. To submit such a request, please contact us using the details below.

If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have an account with the App, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the App. To request removal, contact us with the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California.

12. Do we make updates to this policy?

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Last updated" date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice or by directly notifying you. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy frequently.

13. How can you contact us?

If you have questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, please email us at [email protected].

14. How to delete your account and data

In short: Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". We will process your request within 30 days.

You can request permanent deletion of your Unblockr VPN account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to make the request:

What gets deleted:

What we may retain, and for how long:

We do not retain VPN traffic logs, browsing history, DNS queries, or destination IPs against your account — these have never been collected, so there is nothing of that kind to delete (see Section 1, "What we do not log").

Once we complete deletion you will receive a confirmation email. If you change your mind after deletion, your account cannot be restored and any active subscription is non-refundable for time already elapsed; you are welcome to sign up again as a new user.
